Do I, My Love

 
If I should wake before you my love, 
in the glow of the morning sun, 
should I wake you with a nice warm kiss? 

If I should wake before you my love, 
beside you in our nice soft bed, 
should I wake you with my finger 
trailing across your breast? 

If I should wake before you my love, 
with your head resting on my shoulder, 
should I wake you with my hand 
running up and down your spine? 

If I should wake before you my love, 
with my arm still holding you close, 
should I wake you with these words? 
"I love you, my darling, good morning". 

If I should wake before you my love, 
to see the light shining on your face,  
should I lay there and ponder on the beauty 
that lays before my eyes? 

If I should wake before you my love, 
with your eyes lightly closed, 
should i wake you with the clatter
of the breakfast tray as I rest it by your side?


If I should wake before you my love, 
with the sun glistening on your body, 
should I wake you 
so we can make love?
