AUTUMN LEAVES

Spiraling downward how quickly they go
Dancing and twirling as winter winds blow
Withered and dry, crinkled and crushed
Battered and bruised with each frosty gust

Torn from their perches to doom and decay
Treetops wave as they are carried away
Another season is rounding the bend
Another autumn is nearing its end
